The Iron Belle Trail will pass through hundreds of municipalities and cross 48 different counties in Michigan, promoting outdoor recreation and connecting communities like never before. Van Buren Township is fortunate to have a seven-mile segment of this trail, divided into sections A through L. Section B, the latest addition, runs from Rawsonville Road along the I-94 Service Drive and through Van Buren Park.

PEA Group has been a key player in the development of the Iron Belle Trail within Van Buren Township, assisting with civil engineering, landscape architecture, geotechnical engineering, and land surveying. Through collaborative efforts with local organizations and generous contributions from entities such as the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation and DTE Foundation, PEA Group has helped make this trail a reality for the community.

Expressing her sincere gratitude, Elizabeth Renaud, Director of Community Services in Van Buren Township, stated, “The Township has gained momentum on constructing the Iron Belle Trail within our community over the past few years, and we are proud that our gap is steadily, but consistently growing smaller. This project would not have been possible without the generous donations from the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation and DTE Foundation, in addition to the invaluable partnerships with the Michigan Trails Fund and Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative.”
