The Hazard Mitigation Planning (HMP) Update Process has begun in Wayne County. The HMP serves as a guide for reducing property damage and protecting lives from the impacts of natural and human-made hazards. The plan will be updated over the coming months, and a draft of the 2025 plan will soon be available for public review and comment. Your input is essential in identifying and prioritizing hazards, understanding community vulnerabilities, and developing effective risk mitigation strategies.
