HMP 2025 Update
We are pleased to announce that FEMA Region 5 has issued an Approvable Pending Adoption (APA) determination for the Wayne County Hazard Mitigation Plan – 2025 Update. This determination confirms that the Plan meets all applicable federal mitigation planning requirements.
The remaining step in the approval process is formal adoption by each participating jurisdiction. To become an approved participant under the Plan and maintain eligibility for FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant programs (including HMGP, BRIC, and Flood Mitigation Assistance), your governing body must adopt the Plan by resolution. If you have any questions about the adoption process, Wayne County Emergency Management will be the primary point of contact for coordination (hsemhelp@waynecountymi.gov).
Thank you for your participation in the 2025 Hazard Mitigation Planning process and for your continued commitment to reducing risk within your community.
