Wayne County Local Hazard Mitigation Plan 2025 Update

Draft for Public Review

Wayne County is in the process of updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) to better understand and reduce risks from natural, technological, and human-caused hazards. The plan helps guide long-term strategies to protect people, property, infrastructure, and the environment, while maintaining eligibility for federal disaster mitigation funding. The plan has been updated over the last few months, and a draft of the 2025 plan is now available for public review and comment. Public Review and Comment Period

Wayne County invites residents, businesses, and stakeholders to review the Draft 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan and provide comments.

Public comments will be accepted through January 16, 2026.

Public feedback is an important part of the planning process and helps ensure the plan reflects community priorities and local knowledge.
