Working with the developer and the architect, PEA Group prepared the site design for an independent senior living community in Birmingham, Michigan.
The facility was developed to provide resort-style senior living in a walkable setting where seniors can shop the boutiques, visit cafes, lounges, restaurants, and entertainment venues in beautiful downtown Birmingham. First-class amenities include breathtaking views from the glass wall in the living room conservatory; a rooftop terrace and sky lounge overlooking downtown Birmingham; social, educational, and cultural programs; multiple game, recreation, and event rooms.
A unique aspect of this project involved the development of a welcoming motor court within a courtyard area of the building. Vehicles needed to pass under the building to enter the motor court. PEA Group also created a streetscape along Maple Road and an outdoor garden and patio space along a narrow area located on the side of the building.
This project has been completed. The facility has fostered a vibrant, yet elegant character for this residential community.
