Catalpa Oaks Park is a popular park used for recreational sports, community-based programs, and local runners and walkers. In recent years drainage issues and overuse started to comprising the function of the park.

PEA Group completed soil borings and other site analyses to determine the best grading, soil amendments, and proper stormwater system necessary for successful active use of the site. Our team developed a new layout for the soccer fields to maximize the use of space-based on the anticipated age of users. We designed new soccer fields, an aggregate walking path around the perimeter of the park, storage shed, open lawn spaces for summer programs, and sledding hill improvements. Our team also designed the site elements, provided a cost opinion and construction documents, and worked with the county throughout the bidding and construction process.
