PEA Group was hired by CBRE, Inc. to identify the sources of water intrusion into the underground parking areas of the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan. This project presented significant challenges due to its complex site conditions, history of deferred maintenance, poor original design, stringent security requirements, and high visibility. The construction involved concrete parking decks and underground parking.
PEA Group’s services included a comprehensive water intrusion investigation, providing recommendations, and determining the likely cost of repairs. Operating within the commercial real estate market sector, our team successfully identified the likely causes of water infiltration without involving subcontractors. PEA Group delivered essential solutions to address the water intrusion issues. The project was completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.
