Means Logistics Park

Highland Park, Michigan

What began as vacant and abandoned lots was transformed into a  446,500-square-foot industrial facility within a few months. The development project also incorporated a new park in the northwest corner of the site, offering the local community walking paths with lighting and newly planted trees, greatly enhancing the Hamilton corridor.

PEA Group provided civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture for this project. The initiative revitalized over 270 residential parcels across approximately 34 acres, turning an economically challenged neighborhood into a cutting-edge industrial site in Southeast Michigan. Strategically positioned a mere five miles from downtown Detroit and within a ten-mile radius of two major automotive companies, the site is optimally situated for manufacturing, logistics, and distribution activities.

A notable achievement of this endeavor was the groundbreaking 120,189-square-foot concrete pour, marking a significant milestone as the largest single-day indoor concrete floor slab placement in Michigan’s history.
