PEA Group designed several connections and trailheads for the Paint Creek Trail. Our team analyzed over a half dozen options to connect residents to the regional trail at locations throughout Oakland Township. PEA Group then completed construction drawings and permitting for the development of three new connections at preferred locations.
The new connections include a 1.1-mile pathway to the Paint Creek Trail along the scenic Gallagher Road corridor, a pathway connection to the Paint Creek Cider Mill, which is the primary attraction along the trail, and a new trailhead along Orion Road with parking, restrooms, a picnic area and water source. The connections not only pride safe non-motorized connections to the trails but offer much-needed amenities for the trail users, such as restrooms and drinking water.
