The Charter Township of Redford has completed construction of a new recreation and wellness center on a 3.48-acre site, with PEA Group providing civil engineering and land surveying services for the project. The approximately 31,000-square-foot facility includes recreational areas, classrooms, a therapeutic swimming pool, a workout facility, an indoor walking track, and a fieldhouse with basketball and pickleball courts. The project also features an outdoor amphitheater, with the building serving as the stage and backdrop. Excess on-site topsoil was shaped to create an elevated seating area for concerts and performances, and an outdoor splash pad was added to further enhance the community-focused amenities.
With a $19.5 million investment, the completed facility now serves as a state-of-the-art home for the Township’s Parks and Recreation programs and provides space for community meetings and events. The center is located at 14701 Beech Daly Road in Redford Township, Michigan, on the west side of Beech Daly Road between Five Mile and Schoolcraft Roads. PEA Group provided civil engineering services and construction documentation to support the successful delivery of the project.
The facility officially opened at the beginning of January 2026 and represents something the entire community can take pride in. Township leaders say the center is about more than new amenities and gives residents a reason to stay, gather, and grow together.
