Statewide School Infrastructure Study

Multiple Locations, Michigan

In 2023, the School Finance Research Foundation (SFRF) was allocated funds to coordinate Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) for all public school buildings in the State of Michigan. The SFRF, acting as the facilitator of this initiative, aimed to improve the overall condition of approximately 600 Local Educational Agencies across the state.

The project encompassed public school districts, intermediate school districts, and regional educational service agencies where K-12 students are educated.

PEA Group was selected to provide services for approximately 160 schools, including the following districts as part of this comprehensive program:

  • Rochester Community Schools
  • Dewitt Public Schools
  • Hartland Consolidated Schools
  • Bloomfield Hills Schools
  • Romeo Community Schools

Through this collaboration, PEA Group conducted FCAs to assess the state of school buildings and identify opportunities for improvement. The ultimate goal was to enhance the learning environment for students, reduce energy consumption, and optimize the operational efficiency of educational facilities statewide.
