Today, instead of saying TGIF, we’re saying TGFI – Thank Goodness for Interns!

Isaac Miller | Auburn Hills, TX

Hey, I’m Isaac. I am going into my senior year at Michigan Technological University, studying Civil Engineering. I am pursuing this major because I have always been interested in the design aspects it entails, and I genuinely enjoy everything about it. This is not my first internship, but it is my first time interning at PEA Group. What attracted me to an internship with PEA Group was, during my interview, hearing about how much I would learn and the knowledge I would gain from their rotational program. I was excited to learn not just about the design side but also about the geotechnical and surveying aspects. Overall, I’m looking forward to meeting as many people as I can and applying myself to the fullest during my time here.

Danielle Ren | Houston, TX

I’m Danielle, a junior at Texas A&M University studying Landscape Architecture. I chose to study Landscape Architecture because I believe it has a significant impact on our world, and the name itself evokes a sense of fun and intrigue. I find great satisfaction in the design process, as it not only enhances the beauty of a site but also develops innovative solutions for potential challenges. As a first-time summer intern, I am grateful for the valuable opportunity to join PEA Group. What particularly drew me to this internship was the impressive projects that PEA Group has completed and the inclusive work environment that fosters a fantastic learning atmosphere for newcomers like myself. I am very much looking forward to collaborating with Violet and immersing myself in real-life projects.

Jimmy Ruedisueli | Auburn Hills, MI

I’m Jimmy, a junior at Michigan Tech studying Civil Engineering. I chose Civil Engineering because I have always found buildings and structures interesting. I love seeing how physical projects come together over time. This is my first internship, and I’m excited to learn more about the industry throughout the summer.

Anna Rose | Lansing, MI

I’m Anna. I am going into my senior year as a Civil Engineering major at Michigan Technological University. I really enjoy the structural design aspect of my major. This is my second summer internship, but my first with PEA Group. I was attracted to interning with PEA Group because of their excellent reputation, and I wanted to experience a combination of work in the office and on-site. I am looking forward to gaining new experiences and seeing how construction sites are managed.

Kevin Lee | Auburn Hills, MI

Hello! My name is Kevin, but I also go by “K. Lee”. I’m currently a graduate student attending Michigan Technological University, studying Engineering Management. What makes my program special is that it combines the technical aspects of engineering with business practices. This has allowed me to gain diverse knowledge of different engineering disciplines while also providing insight into how businesses function in each industry. I chose this program to acquire the skills necessary to become an executive in the civil engineering industry. This is my first internship, and I’m very satisfied with my choice of PEA Group. What drew me to an internship with PEA Group was the diversity of the company’s portfolio, which includes civil engineering, geotechnical, and surveying. After interviewing with Steve Sorenson, a Michigan Tech alum, I knew that this would be the perfect place for me to undertake an internship. What I’m most excited about regarding the internship is meeting and learning from all the amazing employees at PEA Group, specifically in AutoCAD.
