Meet the Summer 2026 Interns
We’re excited to welcome our Summer 2026 interns to PEA Group! Representing different offices and disciplines across the company, this group is ready to gain real-world experience while supporting projects in civil engineering, land surveying, geotechnical engineering, and more.
It’s great to see several interns returning for another summer with our team, continuing to build on the experience and connections they developed during previous internships. Their familiarity with our people, projects, and culture makes them a valuable part of this year’s intern class.
Throughout the summer, our interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to active projects, and continue developing the technical and professional skills that will support their future careers.
Over the next couple weeks, we’ll be introducing each of our interns and sharing more about their backgrounds and experiences. Please join us in welcoming the first group in the Summer 2026 intern class!
Today, it’s not TGIF, it’s TGFI – Thank Goodness for Interns!

My name is Kendall, and I am going into my senior year at Michigan Tech studying Civil Engineering. This will be my second summer interning at PEA Group! This summer, I am looking forward to continuing working on Civil 3D and learning more about what civil engineering has to offer. In my free time, I like to spend time with family, make coffee, exercise, and crochet.
Maren Anderson | Civil Engineering | Auburn Hills, MI (Welcome back!)
My name is Maren, and I am a senior at Michigan State studying Civil Engineering. I chose engineering because I had a passion for math and science in high school. This is my second year interning with PEA Group, and I enjoy the supportive culture in the office; All the staff are very approachable and always willing to offer guidance. I chose PEA Group because I wanted to work in an environment where I could continue learning and gaining real-world experience. I look forward to working on more projects this year and developing my CAD abilities. A fun fact about me is that I like to solve chess puzzles and play word games like wordle and connections.
Sydney Small | Civil Engineering | Auburn Hills, MI
My name is Sydney Small, and I am going to be a junior in the fall at Clemson University studying Civil Engineering. I was initially interested in Civil Engineering due to the mix of field and office work and being able to see projects I worked on come to life. This summer I am looking forward to rotating through the different departments and seeing how they all work together. A fun fact about me is I play the piano and love doing crosswords!
Jillian Prall | HR/Marketing | Auburn Hills, MI

I knew since I was little that I wanted to study and pursue something related to business. I love the creative and social aspects of HRM and Marketing. I am looking forward to expanding my prior knowledge and engaging hands-on. Lastly, a fun fact about me is that I love to rock-climb and I have 4 cats!
Alex Auernhamer | Civil Engineering | Lansing, MI
Hey, I’m Alex Auernhamer, and I am going to be a junior at Michigan Tech studying Civil Engineering. I chose my major because I enjoy seeing the full scope of a project unfold, and I get to feel like I am contributing something important. This is my first internship with PEA Group, and I chose to come here because all of the people that I talked to at first were super helpful and fun to be around, and I really liked that they had an office that specialized in water resources. I’m really looking forward to seeing all sides of the projects, from the planning and design to surveying, bidding, and construction. A little fun fact about me is that I really like cooking, sometimes it turns out bad, but I enjoy it!
