Carson Breaux | Civil Engineering | Houston, TX

I’m Carson, a Senior at Texas A&M University studying civil engineering. From a young age, I have always been interested in everything about cities, which has led me to pursue this career path. From structures to transportation, all are aspects that have been a joy to learn more about. This summer is my first time interning with PEA Group, and I could not be more excited! What drew me to working with PEA Group was the diverse portfolio of projects they undertake, which are sure to lead to interesting design challenges. I’m looking forward to learning more about civil design and gaining practical industry experience throughout the coming months.

Danielle Ren | Landscape Architecture | Houston, TX

I’m Danielle Ren. I am a senior at Texas A&M University studying landscape architecture. What draws me to landscape architecture is its creative aspect, which brings innovative solutions to sites, encouraging social interaction and cohesion while preserving and protecting the natural environment. I enjoy that landscape architecture plays an integral role in our lives, providing spaces for recreation, gathering, and relaxation, while saving habitats for wildlife to the best of our abilities. Currently, I am interning at PEA Group for the second time, and what attracted me to an internship with PEA Group is its heart-warming people, welcoming environment, and diverse backgrounds, which I greatly respect and appreciate. I am looking forward to growing and improving in all aspects through this internship, and I believe I will become a better version of myself through this experience.

Hailey Douglas | Surveying | Brighton, MI

I’m Hailey. I just finished up my second year at Michigan Technological University studying geospatial engineering. I am pursuing this major in hopes of getting my survey license in as many states as reasonably possible. This is my third internship, and I am very happy with the variety of jobs that I get to go on here at PEA Group. I am very excited to learn more about surveying and get the experience that I need to be able to help teach others when I go back to school.

Johnathan Tapp | Civil Engineering | Auburn Hills, MI

My name is Johnathan Tapp, a sophomore at Western Michigan University majoring in civil engineering. I chose this field for its challenging and engaging nature, as well as my interest in understanding the construction of the world around me. Last year, I interned at HRC in their Transportation Department, and now I am excited to embark on my first internship at PEA Group. The rotational program at PEA Group caught my attention, offering exposure to various fieldwork opportunities during the summer. I am eager to gain hands-on experience in both the Geotech and Surveying departments and hope this internship will open doors to future opportunities within the company.

Travis Brenner | Civil Engineering | Lansing, MI

I’m Travis Brenner. I am a sophomore at Michigan State University studying civil engineering. I chose to pursue this major because of the diversity it allows for in the workplace. I enjoy the application of math, science, and design to help the community. This is my first internship. The biggest thing that attracted me to PEA Group was the content and variety of learning materials they offer. I am looking forward to learning about the industry and developing my skills and knowledge.
