Kicking off the weekend with TGFI — Thank Goodness for Interns!

Peyton McCaslin | Geotechnical Engineering | Auburn Hills, MI

Hi everyone! My name is Peyton McCaslin, and I’m an incoming senior at the University of Michigan studying mechanical engineering with a minor in business. This summer, I’m excited to join PEA Group for my first experience in the geotechnical and civil engineering industry—drawn here by the company’s supportive culture, standout internship program, and the pride I felt just telling people I’d be working here. I chose mechanical engineering for its broad applications and love how it opens doors to collaborate across many industries, which I’m eager to explore in the field with PEA Group. My goal this summer is to soak up as much as I can—from technical skills to how projects come to life in the real world—while connecting with the incredible people around me. Fun fact: I’ve completed more ultra marathons than normal marathons. So excited for this summer at PEA Group and looking forward to meeting everyone!

Titus Lind | Surveying | Auburn Hills, MI (Welcome back!)

My name is Titus Lind, and I am starting my fifth and final year at Michigan Tech studying geospatial engineering (surveying). I switched to surveying after taking an intro to surveying class my freshman year and enjoyed it so much. I interned here at PEA Group last year and enjoyed my first summer. While back I hope to learn even more about surveying. A fun fact about me is that I have won multiple amateur eating competitions.

Vivian Cash | Surveying | Auburn Hills, MI

My name is Vivian Cash, and I am going into my junior year at Ferris State University studying surveying engineering! I found out about PEA Group during a Burt and Mullett chapter meeting, I was informed that interns would be able to experience all the different parts of land surveying there is to offer, and that’s when I knew I wanted my first internship to be here. I’m really looking forward to discovering the overlap between what I enjoy and what I am good at when it comes to surveying. The best part about my major my how passionate everyone is about surveying; being surrounded by such dedicated people makes me want to be not only a better surveyor but a better person as well. A fun fact about myself is that I love trying new things, especially if it involves the outdoors or lots of people!

Joey Pierzynski | Civil Engineering | Brighton, MI (Welcome back!)

My name is Joey Pierzynski, and I am a senior at Michigan Tech studying environmental engineering. This will be my third internship and second summer with PEA Group. I chose to intern with PEA Group again because of the fun atmosphere around the office and the new and innovative projects I was involved in last summer. I am looking forward to the same atmosphere in the office this year and to getting more involved in the project process. A fun fact about me is that I like to play golf and bake bread.

Liv Robins | Civil Engineering | Brighton, MI (Welcome back!)

My name is Liv Robins, and I am a Senior at Michigan State University studying civil engineering. I am pursuing civil engineering because it allows me to be creative while still incorporating technical aspects. Something I enjoy about my major is the diversity of paths you can take post graduation, whether it be geotechnical, structural, land development, or another civil adjacent field. This gives me peace of mind that I could change paths mid-career if I am no longer feeling inspired. This is my third overall internship, but my second year with PEA Group. PEA Group’s internship program brought me back due to the focus on developing the interns’ technical knowledge of Civil 3D which is not often taught in school, but is a very widely used in the engineering field. This summer I am looking forward to expanding my expertise in Civil 3D and contributing to new projects with other engineers and interns. Something I enjoy in my free time is being creative by sewing and crocheting gifts for all my friends and family.
